Three weeks ago I interviewed at another company. I have worked at my current employer for almost nine years and I LOVE it, however, I am ready for a challenge so I interviewed elsewhere. The day of my first interview I was asked to come back the following week for a second interview. I felt like they both went fine but it is always hard to tell. The same day as my second interview I was asked to take a personality/IQ test called the Caliper Assessment. It was a lengthy but I felt like I did fine on it as well. It has now been a week and a half since I took the test so I decided to email the hiring manager for an update (I was very professional about it, of course). She quickly emailed me back with the following:
I’d like to set up a quick time to chat tomorrow via phone, about 5 minutes. Do you have a time that would work well for you? I have from 9-10 or from 11-12 available.
Of course, I can't help but analyze this message.
1. Quick time to chat, about 5 minutes. Is this so she can quickly tell me they have decided on someone else?
2. Do you have a time that would work well for you? I have from 9-10 or from 11-12 available. If she is not interested why didn't she just call me quickly to get it over with?
I find out tomorrow, 9:15. Ahhhhhh! I am not sure what is harder, knowing I find out tomorrow or not knowing and playing the waiting game. I am fine with either decision but I feel like this could be an exciting new adventure for me!
I will keep you updated! Please cross your fingers....

Waiting games are hard. I hope they let you know something...anything, soon.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is another big day, right?
